The committee has chosen Aladdin as the next pantomime
The casting
reading for the pantomime will be on 2nd October at 7.30 p.m. at
Westwood First School, Leek, followed by a committee meeting to cast the
panto.
Principals
will rehearse for two weeks to block the panto before the chorus start
to meet. Rehearsals will be:
Tuesday
31st October
Thursday 2nd November
Tuesday 7th November
Thursday 9th November
Full
rehearsals will start:
Tuesday
21st November for chorus
Thursday 23rd November for principles
Rehearsals:
When rehearsal nights and times have been arranged they must be ahered
to by eveyone.
Membership: When members complete a membership form, guidelines
are listed at the bottom of the form which read:
- Be available for rehearsals as called.
- Be available for all performances.
- All members of the group need to sell tickets.
Congratulations
to all involved in the production of 'Anna'. It was a great success and
we have made a profit.
Job
descriptions: These have now been completed. They will be handed out
shortly to act as guidance to both cast and crew.
Social
the quiz night has been changed from 13th October to 20th October and
will be at The Wheel. Please bring friends and notify Sue Clowes of
numbers (no later than 16th October) so that supper can be
provided.
Future Events: Meal out November/December (organised by Kath Lee)
Sixties night at the bowling club with live music 20th January (organised
by Sue and Ian)
T-Shirts:
The committee has purchased the Centre Stage logo. This will enable
members to purchase T-shirts, Polo shirts and sweatshirts at reasonable
prices. A full list of colours available and prices will be issued
shortly.
Ian Wilson
is organising tickets to go and see 'BLOOD BROTHERS' at the Regent
Theatre on Wed. 22nd Nov. Possibly £13 - £16 depending on where we
sit. If you are interested in seeing this brilliant musical play, please
let Ian know by Thurs. 12th Oct.
Importance
of being Ernest
Tues 14th - Sat 18th November (plus Sat. matinee) Tickets £6 or matinee
£4
Newcastle players will be performing this Oscar Wilde Trivial Comedy at
the Mitchell Memorial Theatre. Ian Wilson is directing and our own Nikki
Warwas is performing the role of Cecily Cardew.
If anyone would like tickets please let Ian know as soon as possible.
Also if anyone is free to help backstage for the week (including Sunday
and Monday) please inform Ian. There are three complicated sets which
have to be changed in under ten minutes.
Sponsored
walk
Our town mayor, John Fisher, has organised a sponsored walk around
Rudyard Lake on Sunday 8th October. All money raised will go to the
theatre project. Nikki Warwas and her sister Natalie have offered to
represent Centre Stage so please support them with sponsorship. We need
to raise as much money as possible.
